The Atlas Team Has Provided Training For Dutch Soldiers

In particular, soldiers practiced flying drones and studying how to solve problems in unexpected situations. The Dutch military received additional training and practiced conducting flights during these training exercises.

During the course, a particular focus was on troubleshooting on how to complete a mission. According to the Atlas instructor, at the beginning of training, Dutch soldiers were skeptical that they would ever be able to command a drone out to long distances. They believed it was not realistic. But during the training, we found out what the simulated problem was and flew the drones at long distances in Riga. Over 5 days they obtained the necessary skills required to fly the Atlas drone.

The chief acting Atlas instructor commented:

“During the training, we focused the instructors to fully address the soldiers weak points and to familiarise them in all the nuances of drone work”. 

The AtlasPRO drone has jamming, spoofing, and interference protection. When using AtlasPro in real-life combat situations, a pilot can operate this drone manually in No GPS mode without losing the drone, which we call the “military bird”.

M. Van de Sande, a Dutch soldier, explained the benefits of working with AtlasPRO:

“Atlas did a lot, especially flying without GPS. I never did that before, and now I know how important that is. From now on, I will do it far more often”.

The Netherlands has implemented Atlas drones for a few years now, both for intelligence work and for fire control in military operations.
